How to conduct a search

Making a search on Silatus is as simple as clicking the Research button and inputting the topic of your research in the search box.

To locate the Research button and conduct a search, do the following:

Step 1: Navigate to the Research screen. This should be, by default, your landing screen when you log in to your account. If you are not on the Research screen, simply click the New tab from the left panel and select Research from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Input the topic of your research in the search box and click the yellow arrow at the end of the search box to start your research. You can also press the Enter key on your device keypad.

Research Modes:

Note: Some research modes are only available on upgraded plans.

If you want to restrict your research to only include peer-reviewed research, switch from General mode to Academic mode by hovering over the General button below the box and selecting Academic.

If you want your research to come in a format other than Q&A, click the Q&A box by the bottom right of the search box to see more formats such as a Blog Post, Report, and Social Media Post.

If you want the result to include external sources, click the Advanced settings link below the Q&A button.

Step 3: Wait a few moments to allow Silatus AI to generate and compile the results from relevant sources. Voila! You've generated your first report. Once it’s done, you can click on the small back arrow to take advantage of more advanced capabilities.

Note: You can navigate away from this screen while you wait. Your report will continue to generate and you will receive an email when it is ready.

Step 4 (optional): After you've clicked the back arrow, you'll be taken to My Files. This is the space where you can group together collections of research, conduct more research on existing sources, and extract new insights from existing sources.

  • To conduct more research on existing sources: click the Summarize button.
  • To extract new insights from existing sources: click the Run Command button and tell Silatus AI what insights you want to extract.

TO BE COMPLETED...
